We are trying something a little different this week. Gbot presents: Cody Tries His Best!

If you haven’t seen the official teaser trailer for Gbot’s first movie you can see it here. While you’re there, have a look around at our new website.

Ever since Gbot was a young boy
He’s played the silver ball
From LA down to Vegas
He must have played them all
But I ain’t seen nothing like him
In any amusement hall
That deaf, dumb and blind kid genius
Sure plays a mean pinball

This week, as we continue our Gbot in Las Vegas specials, Gbot visits some of the small towns near the city of Las Vegas that have been made famous by the game Fallout: New Vegas. Sorry for the jittery camera work. You can blame it on the cameraman shivering. It was a very cold day!

For those who don’t know: when Gbot isn’t going on his travels and adventures, he is an editor for Lost Anarchy magazine. As such, he often attends music events such as the NAMM convention in Anaheim, California. This year, he takes you along with him.

Congratulations to Cody (yes, Cody from the Crawfish episode) on his first episode as director.

Discs of Tron champion: Gbot

Gbot has entered The Grid

UPDATE 1/13/2011: We got some of the original footage up on our secondary YouTube account now. The Power Surge show is all we have for now, but Gbot might have some Laserman somewhere on his hard drive. We’ll get that up when we find it.

Hey remember those ElecTRONica images we posted awhile back? Well that episode never made it off the drawing board because they were filmed with a camera that saved files in some weird format that the editing software couldn’t handle. Our Oktoberfest episode met the same fate.

Since the movie is coming out this weekend (I’ve been getting reading by playing some Tron Evolution on Xbox), we have posted some of the images from our “lost” episode on our Facebook page.

Look back at Gbot’s bests and worsts of 2010. We will be back next week to begin our month of Gbot in Las Vegas specials.

So much for “it never rains in Southern California”; it’s been coming down hard! Never fear, this week we open the Gbot archives (better know as Gbot’s hard drive) and take a look at one of our “lost” episodes. We originally had planned a cupcake episode, but after eating one cupcake Gbot decided they were too sweet for him to eat more than one. Also he went on an anti-capitalist rant about eating $4 cupcakes during a recession when children are asking Santa for clothing instead of toys. It took us 2 hours to calm him down.

Anyways, the episode became a BBQ episode when Gbot decided to take the crew to Compton for some Bludso’s BBQ. Bludso’s is a small place and it was a bit hard to film there. The food was awesome, but a lot of the footage we got wasn’t the greatest. You can hear people ordering in the background in half the video since the place is that small. So sorry for the rough episode this week, although I must say Bludso’s served some of the best food we’ve had yet on this show.

There isn’t a real Bluth banana stand, but frozen bananas actually are a popular item in Orange County. Dad’s Donuts and Sugar N Spice both claim to be the “original”. This week, Gbot visits both.

It’s our special Canada episode, shot entirely in Orange County, CA! This was pretty hard as there isn’t really anything Canadian around here at all. We got some Ducks hockey, cheap Canadian beers, and found a place that served poutine. Sorry Canada for summing up your country with hockey, beer, and fries.

“A hot dog at the ball park is better than steak at the Ritz.”

Bogart said it best. Although Gbot doesn’t go to a ball park this week, he does try two legendary hot dogs; although they are legendary for their own reasons. Pink’s is a LA institution (soon to open a branch in LAX) while Costco is just a legendary value.
