Back in the saddle again

Gbot took the week off, but we had two new videos for you the week before so hopefully you didn’t miss us too much. Gbot and Cody will be back with a brand new video later this week where they will try the saltine challenge. In the meantime, please go check out our brand new website and watch the teaser trailer for our first short film starring Gbot himself! As we move away from just travel shows, we will be posting more and more stuff at the new site so make sure you check it out.

Alien Fresh Jerky in Baker, CA

This is our second video this week. It is a quick look at the Alien Fresh Jerky store in Baker, CA. If you’ve done the drive from LA to Vegas, you’ve probably seen their signs on the way there. One day we decided to check them out in Baker and we were impressed by how good their jerky is. We have been stopping there on the way to Vegas ever since. It is a cool, quirky store that sells really good jerky. In addition to jerky they also sell nuts, hot sauce, candy, souvenirs, and the widest array of energy drinks I’ve ever seen. They’ve recently added an alien Barack Obama display. Baker is also home to the world’s tallest thermometer, which is kind of disappointing since it is just a digital thermometer built into a big pole. We wanted to see a giant tube of mercury.

Art-o-mat at Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

We have 2 videos for you this week. The first of which is this short where Gbot plays with the Art-o-mat located in the Cosmopolitan. This is our final Gbot in Las Vegas video for now. Until next time Vegas, Gbot has left the building.

Is that Gbot? No it isn’t, but it is probably one of his cousins.

Actual Fallout: New Vegas locations

This week, as we continue our Gbot in Las Vegas specials, Gbot visits some of the small towns near the city of Las Vegas that have been made famous by the game Fallout: New Vegas. Sorry for the jittery camera work. You can blame it on the cameraman shivering. It was a very cold day!

NAMM 2011

For those who don’t know: when Gbot isn’t going on his travels and adventures, he is an editor for Lost Anarchy magazine. As such, he often attends music events such as the NAMM convention in Anaheim, California. This year, he takes you along with him.

Congratulations to Cody (yes, Cody from the Crawfish episode) on his first episode as director.

It can be a little daunting since Las Vegas isn’t as well organized as Times Square, but with these tips from Gbot you too can have a smooth celebration. This video is more informational than our usual videos and we hope it helps some people out, but don’t worry because we got lots of footage in Las Vegas that we will be showing in the coming weeks.
